Faculty Biography

:: Nathan Hanson ::::::

Philosophy:  I have extensive training in Music, both in academia and on the bandstand. My performing career has taken me to such places as New York City, Mankato, Milano, Slovenia and Rome (both Italy and Georgia). I have performed my own music and the music of others in settings including musicals, operas, oratorios, recitals, big bands, swing dances, punk rock clubs, country roadhouses, churches, Soviet bomb shelters, jazz clubs, concert halls, etc.

I have been a student of Music for all of my life thus far. My earliest memories are of music, and music has consumed most of my time and energy ever since those memories were formed. Through discipline and discovery, steadfast patience and restless inquiry, Music will bestow transcendence and aesthetic bounty that speaks to the heart of human experience. I love music, and I am enthusiastic to share my love and knowledge with others.
