I have 20 years experience teaching many different music styles. I can teach all the following styles equally well: Rock, Jazz, Classical, Folk, Pop, Gypsy Jazz, Heavy Metal, Progressive Rock, Hard Rock, Alternative, and many more.

Teaching Philosophy
My goal is to make learning the guitar fun. I believe that beginning students should learn the basics, such as note reading, and music theory, but as they progress to an intermediate level we can also focus on music and styles that interest the individual student. I teach all styles of guitar from classical to rock to jazz, and I can tailor lessons to fit the individual. I encourage my students to bring in sheet music or recorded music, and I will teach them how to play their favorite songs.

My youngest students are 7 years old, but I also teach adults and everyone in between. Parents are encouraged to sit in on lessons, which can be helpful with younger students. Students are encouraged to play in recitals, but only if they are ready and want to participate--recitals are completely voluntary.
