Teaching Philosophy
My goal as a piano teacher is to introduce and nurture a life-long learning and enjoyment of music.  The catalyst is the piano, on which the student acquires proficiency in technical skills, reading music and exploring the vast repertoire for the instrument.  Individual lessons are tailored to students of all ages and levels, and include singing, rhythm, practice strategies and music theory.

Faculty Bio
I have taught private piano lessons for 20 plus years.  Subsequent to studying piano performance at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD, I completed the piano pedagogy program at University of St. Catherine. Professional memberships include Music Teachers National Association, Minnesota Music Teachers Association, St. Paul Piano Teachers Association, National Federation of Music Clubs and Upper Midwest Music Festival.  As an active member of MMTA, I have served as Piano Exam Program Director for the past 5 years and exam site administrator for 10 years.  My performance experience has been freelance accompanying for soloists, vocal groups and ballet classes.
