Faculty Bio
Joseph Reed, Baritone, earned his Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of St. Thomas. He then went on to earn the Masters of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the University of Minnesota. He also holds the Certificate of Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Minnesota. 

Dr. Reed has performed with many area arts organizations including Opera 101 Theatre Company, North Star Opera, Minnesota Opera, Anoka Lyic Opera and Nrothland Opera Theatre. He has a number of leading roles to his credit, including Alfio in Cavalleria Rusticana, and has played all four villains in The Tales of Hoffmann.

He has served on the voice faculty of the University of St. Thomas since 2004. He also teachers at Macalester College, and is choir director at the Church of St. Fancis of Assisi. Previously, he taught at Bethel University, Minneapolis Community College and K&S Conservatory of Music.

Joseph has a passion for working with beginning singers, and is very excited to be returning to K&S Conservatory of Music.
