:: IN MEMORIAM::::::
John Clegg
It is with great sadness that we mourn the death of our beloved friend, John Clegg, saxophone teacher at K&S for many years.
JC had been ill with cancer and passed away at 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2008.
It is a great loss, and he will be sorely missed by all who have had the honor of knowing JC.

"J.C. was not only my teacher, he was my friend. He had a great spirit about him and laughed a lot! I never had so much fun playing my saxophone than I did when I had a lesson with him. If I would have never had lessons with him, I would never have been influenced towards music the way that I currently am right now. He made music so great for so many people, and nobody will ever forget that. Rest in Peace, J.C. You will be greatly missed by everyone who ever got the joy of meeting you!"

"J.C. was one of the kindest people I've ever known. He truly cared about his students, and was inspiring as a teacher, friend and musician. He had a bright spirit and a passion for music and teaching that was incredibly unique. And his sense of humor and ability to relate to everyone made him very fun to be around.
I recall the gift he gave me for my high school graduation. It was the jazz organist Larry Young's CD "Unity". Being a self-absorbed and distracted teenager, I didn't listen to it immediately. But, when I studied it later I realized that J.C. knew me so well! We shared this same taste and sense for the music that really touched our hearts and reminded us that we were doing it all for a reason. He taught me that although we go through hard times, trials where we second guess ourselves, or even periods where we give up what we love, it always comes back to us because it truly belongs in us.
J.C. will forever be a part of who I am, and will always be in my heart."

"Even though we live far away from the US we still have a piece of our hearts with all our friends and relatives in Minnesota.
John was more than a great teacher and Eleonore had a wonderful experience with him we will never forget.
John was able to share his passion with humor, positive minds, always there encouraging who
needed to be.
John was open at everything, curious to find something new, ready to accept the challenge.
When we moved back to Switzerl and very close to Montreux where stands the famous World Jazz Festival, he was already dreaming to come once to visit us and be part of the event.
He will be deeply missed............John, nous ne t'oublierons jamais........."
