Suzuki Piano and Suzuki Violin Classes

K&S is accepting beginning students ages 3-7 into Suzuki lessons! The Suzuki approach is based on the method developed by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki. Often referred to as the “mother tongue” approach, it applies principles of language acquisition to the learning of music, and is a natural way for young students to learn. A few important features of this approach are listening, repetition, substantial parental involvement, and lots of encouragement.

Students enrolled in Suzuki lessons will receive a half-hour lesson once per week and are encouraged to participate in recitals at K&S. More information for parents on the Suzuki approach can be found on the Suzuki Association of the Americas Web site: http://www.suzukiassociation.org/parents/
