This program is focused on 4 to 8 year old children who will receive - besides learning the piano - a basic musical preparation for further instrumental lessons. Parents will not participate during the lessons but encouragement for practice at home is significant for the student's success. All classes are designed for one school year (two semesters). For "Song Sparrows" a piano at home is not required but your child will benefit the most if you could provide a keyboard/piano. For "House Sparrows"a piano/keyboard at home is required for regular practice.

The placement of the student depends on age and/or ability. Enrollment in "Song Sparrows" is recommended, but not required to register for "House Sparrows." Students who attend "Song Sparrows" are usually the fastest learning students. You can earn points towards a K&S trophy while having the opportunity to participate in K&S Recitals!
