Carol views herself as a music teacher that specializes in piano. She wants her students to understand music in all its aspects and help them to find their passion for music. Her goal is to nurture their lifelong love of music. 

A typical lesson starts with a constructive dialogue between the student and teacher regarding the lesson of the day. This is followed by performance of the piece(s) with thoughtful feedback and a plan for moving forward with their performance. 

In her spare time she enjoys doing obedience training and competitions with her dog, Ravel, walking, preferably in state parks or other natural settings, and reading mystery novels.
