Emily helps her students discover both what the music is trying to say and what their individual voice wants to say through the music; learning the proper technique to bring into reality what you hear in your head and equally learning to listen well.
A typical lesson with Emily includes working on current pieces, sight-reading and exploring new repertoire, learning how to practice independently, and time for theory and technique.
In her spare time she enjoys running, reading, psychology and spoiling her cat Lily.
