Dusiková composed two piano concertos, various piano sonatas, fantasies, waltzes, and airs with variations. This piece, “Theme and Variations on Adeste Fideles” is one movement excerpted from her Piano Sonata in F Major, Op. 2. It features variations on the popular Portuguese hymn” Adeste Fideles” which Americans know as “O Come, All Ye Faithful.” Since the earliest known printed version of this tune appeared in 1751, Dusikova’s rendition might be considered a historical “cover song”!
